Teen Patti (also written as 3 Patti) is one of the most popular card games in South Asia. It is a simplified version of poker played with a standard 52-card deck. Understanding the rules completely is essential before playing for real money on 3 Patti Crown.

Basic Objective of Teen Patti
The goal of Teen Patti is to have the best 3-card hand among all players at the table, or to be the last player remaining after all others have folded. The player with the highest-ranking hand wins the pot.
Game Setup
- Players: 3 to 6 players per table
- Deck: Standard 52 cards (no jokers in classic mode)
- Boot amount: Each player puts a minimum bet (boot) into the pot before cards are dealt
- Cards dealt: 3 cards face down to each player

Betting Rounds
After cards are dealt, betting proceeds clockwise. Each player has two choices:
- Blind Player: Has not looked at their cards. Bets half the current stake or the boot amount.
- Seen Player: Has looked at their cards. Must bet at least the current stake (double of blind stake).
Each player can choose to Chaal (call/raise) or Pack/Fold (quit the round). The pot grows as players continue betting.
Side Show
A seen player can request a Side Show (compromise) with the previous seen player. Both compare cards privately. The player with the lower hand must fold. This is optional — the other player can refuse.
Showdown
When only two players remain, either can call for a Show. Both reveal their cards. The player with the higher-ranked hand wins the entire pot. If hands are equal, the player who called the show loses.
Common Teen Patti Variations
- Joker: Random cards are designated as wild cards (jokers)
- Muflis: Hand rankings are reversed — lowest hand wins
- AK47: Aces, Kings, 4s, and 7s are jokers
- Best of Four: 4 cards dealt, use best 3
- High-Low: Win with either highest or lowest hand

The best hand in Teen Patti is Trail (Three of a Kind) — three cards of the same rank. Three Aces (A-A-A) is the absolute best hand possible.
Each player receives exactly 3 cards face down at the start of the game. No additional cards are drawn during the game.
A blind player has not looked at their cards. They bet half the current stake. Playing blind adds an element of bluffing to the game.
